All the happenings in March ' 08 (week 4)
20/3 thu: my right eye gotta red (sore) when wake up.. i am so shocked and panic at that time, i keep asking my family.. how how.. will it be fine.. can i still go out?.. deep inside my heart i am wondering.. how how.. how can go serve children church.. with my eye red.. later the kids saw my eye will surely screamed 1.. lol:)
then i dip some eyedrops and rest my eye.. really rest.. it starts to be very red becoz i guess i rubbed it while i was a slp bah.. then somemore my body is very heaty.. yup.. so i rest my eyes.. both eyes coz i scared another eye will also get that as well.. while i am sitting in the bus.. and on my journey to jurong west..
by God's grace.. my eye is completely fine after 2 hours.. wow!.. it's so amazed and even myself.. i dun believe that.. no reddish or what so ever.. by then.. i am so relieved and relax.. even though i got a serious cold and i felt some feverish and my head is still giving me problem.. i still got on and serve and help out for the 1st service and as the 2nd one is too late clashes with my next event.. i therefore forgo it and decide to whether went home or go to polyclinic first..
i went polyclinic and rest awhile at home before go out again..attending sayhaow's birthday bbq party at east coast park..
i took a bus.. 43.. first time in that bus.. i dunno where should i stop/alight.. but i give it a try.. yup.. and with my medication.. i slp halfway thru and wake up in the middle of the journey.. waking up feeling shocking bad.. my heart is so unpleasant.. thinking of whether did my stop just past or what ever.. luckily i plucked up my courage to ask the lady infront of me.. she told me the bus hasn't reached marine parade.. haha.. All the happenings in March ' 08 (week 3)
11/3 n 12/3 (tue + wed) K-BOX ROCK 'N' ROLL!!
okay.. i guess i am mad on that week or i juz missed singing karoake lah.. i went for 2 K-BOX sessions for TWO day in a row.. lolz..
tue went with cheryl and si si to marina square to sing.. 1st time there too.. the mall was so big that we end up kana lost for awhile *(3mins):O.. haha.. that day i got shot one pic but it's in my phone.. ha.. the room that we stayed is just infront of the beautiful scruplture that divides the 2 walls and its escalators.. what's more amazing thing is that.. lights will shone on the scruplture then it will somehow (i dunno how) reflects and entered into our glass window room.. ha.. we end up having a small 3 hours "disco" lights (we dim our lights).. it's so disco!!
i then challenged myself with some songs i liked.. wah.. singing solo.. si si commented my singing has improved.. of course lah!.. i trained every weekend leh.. :P.. then we have a good fun singing along with the MV.. but the next day is the best i should say..
after that.. we went far east plaza window shop.. i spotted some ranging to $49.90- $79.90.. very nice but not under discount.. so ex.. faint!.. then we took bus 578.. i rmb that number very clearly.. coz it costs me $3.20 deduction from my ez-link. but it's an express bus back to sengkang int.. and it's fast.. no human and traffic jam.. then we go back to compass pt to pick some groceries for si si then we went off separately after that liao.. that time was like nearly 7pm:)
wed went out with sengyap to hougang sing!!.. wow.. i love that moment.. 2 of us are standing up and singing our "hearts" out.. all those rock songs.. then we laughed as a roll coz we will immediately hide or stop our actions when someone walked past our room.. so funny.. it's really really great to find dao a great singer like sengyap that can sing with me.. we sing solos mostly.. but the last 45mins.. we really shout it all out with all the rock songs.. like mayday's.. we almost picked all their songs.. very very fun.. i will treasure that precious 3 hours de..
----------------------End-------------------------
13/3 thu: went out with joseph and jianyong and kweepeng to kovan hawker centre for dinner.. the minced meat (pork) noodles was really lovely.. tasty i mean.. later tell you why..
so.. jy, kp and me met on the bus while on our way to our meeting venue.. we went to walk around kovan.. the arcade.. the shops.. the arcade is big lah.. games are quite cheap compared to other arcades.. (machines are mostly the same after all).. we played for some interesting games like the "spot the wrongs photos act".. then kp played his fighting machine lah.. 50 cents but he can played untill last stage and win it.. PERFECT!.. definitly i feel that i am not an arcade person.. how can i waste so many money on that when in the 1st place i dunno how to play them.. really a waste.. lol..
we picked up joseph at around 7.40pm.. then we went to great food whereby kp hotsell "his" minced pork noodles.. haha.. we found a table and they started queueing up.. things got alittle bit complicated for some of our miscommunication... but it is still resolved.. :)..
F00D Review
the noodles i tell you.. it's so chewy and Q.. oh.. that's my first time eat dao so Q de noodles.. way better than bedok blk 85 hawker centre stall.. and the soup at kovan was so pure and fragarent.. u can really taste whether it contains MSG or it's natural boil ingredients soup.. it's the 2nd one coz when u drink the soup.. the soup consumed down ur throat with ease.. no thrist of water after that.. juz fresh.. natural.. perfect.. :)
----------------End of review------------------
after our sugarcane drink.. we went to shop around kovan heartland mall.. spotted some cheap sushi for 50% discount with more than $6 purchase.. wah.. it's super worth it.. but i am really too full at that time to buy.. jy and kp bought and share the price.. :)
----------------------End-------------------------
14/3 fri: went to Singapore Science Centre to find xiuying.. she worked there for that 2 week lah.. that day was her last 3 days.. with "some privileges".. we have a free admission..(dun ask).. haha.. so we went to the main halls to explore the sciences.. wow.. i tell you.. i am so excited and amazed abt the exhibitions..my phone got lots of pics.. unfortuately phone low batt or else can shot somemore pics.. it's really very enjoyable to play on the exhibits and learn thru that.. got lots of kids there lah.. but.. i still like it.. although xy keep saying it's eerrie and dark.. dun go in.. haha.. i went in those after she left for her shift work started.. :).. although it's quite lonely lah.. 1 person played only.. zhiyuan loh.. ps me.. :(.. but at least i did enjoy.. isn't it the best thing among the others?! :)
after that.. i travelled back and go out for dinner with glisten inc. and fathinah.. we laughed from the time we met till that time we said goodbye to one another.. wow.. the Banquet (halal food court) at compass point sure think we are crazy.. laughed untill like that.. haha.. some more we still sit down outside the pathway to chit chat and shot a pic..
16/3 sun: i guess i really have an affinity with compass point.. that evening met mao, yanhao, eric for burgur king dinner.. wah.. this is the worst worst LAUGHABLE dinner i even had.. from the time we met untill that time they left.. i still can't STOP laughing.. really can't take it.. we were like cracking silly jokes and making fun of each other.. very mean those.. and really really funny to see ME..MOCKING AT MYSELF.. yesh.. so crazy.. i'm really too high after my prayer meeting in andy's house.. lol.. but great night though, i slp that night rmbing with a smile.. i slpt :)

All the happenings in March ' 08 (week 2) part C
luckily the only good thing abt the dessert stall is the "ginger soup".. recommend by the waiteress.. to "eliminate the winds in the stomach".. which end up did helps me.. i got no more diarroea after that 2nd one.. it's really warm in the stomach after i drank the soup lah.. one thing to take note is that.. those we 1 to try all is out of stock or only cater to weekends.. which is what the write up said abt the stall been so nice lah.. :(
rmb the pastry shop i found with my aunt 2 days back (scroll down 2 posts).. we tried to find that day too.. but still can't find even with the shop name.. "Liang Cheng Mei Jing".. we end up go to Maxwell Hawker Centre to see whether they are still kuehs to ta-bao for my gran.. NOPE.. it's sold out.. i end up going home with 2 bowls of desserts only.. abit sad lah.. but.. i told my aunt not to spend so much lah.. 2 days back spent so much liao.. :)
7/3 fri: hopefully today is a better day.. my aunt met me for the last time for lunch at plaza sing.. she said that's a very famous but expensive restaurant selling fish meals.. somemore she tried the ala carte dinner before.. it's very nice.. so she 1 to try out the set lunch.. then drag me along coz she can't take so big portion of food (i normally will ate 1 n 1/2 shares).. after been the 1st 2 customers to come into the restaurant.. i started to realised.. i went to this restaurant before with my ex-teacher.. yup.. we end up ordering 2 set lunches.. 1 is grilled fish another is fish and chips.. :)
FOOD review: the grilled fish with the butter rice and fresh healthy vege.. the fish turned out to be saltish for my aunt.. so she end up giving me 3/4 portion of her set.. mine is fried fish and chips.. it's verry very nice.. u can taste the FRESHNESS of the fish.. it's fried CRISPYLY with GOLDEN coated... then it is wonderful decorated by fresh colesaws and GOLDEN brown long french fries.. WOW.. i fell in love with it even how guilty i am to eat such heaty food.. and then all set lunches came with a huge jug/glass of drinks.. it's like 800ml like that.. very big.. and a soup of the day.. is super worth it.. coz it's simply $14++.. around $17 nett to enjoy such great food.. other set lunches offer cheaper range of meals too.. 1 day i will go back to try them de..:)
(END)
8/3 sat: i went for children church for helping out.. that's my 3rd time.. it has been so long.. my 2nd time is X'mas time.. i really enjoying serving the kids.. although some of them are abit rowdy and noisy.. the most of the rest are talkative and playful.. i still find that their hearts are always the puriest to accept anything.. so start young and educate them.. i really have a vision to be their teacher aka role model to guide them along.. be their mentor and make a difference in their lives.. :)
All the happenings in March ' 08 (week 2) part B
we end up giving up on juncti8n and see which bus we can go to our destinations which we haven't decided yet..erm.. yup.. i pushed him to go Fort Canning Park to visit the war memorial there.. and he agreed! weee.. we end up in Fort Canning in 1 hr later.. lol.. we walked way up to almost the top.. then found the correct direction.. thanks to say haow.. then how i noe it's called the Battle Box..
when we asked the personnel abt the pricing.. it's 8 DOLLARS PER PAX.. i faint.. as i am deciding whether to waste these $8 (my 2 meals) or not and sayhaow encourage me that he will go in with me even though he has went 2 yrs back.. we went in again.. the personnel appoach us and told us "how about $5 per pax.. i noe u are still students.. $5 will do.. " i am surprised by that.. after all i am really very curious about this.. so we paid and make our trip down to the underground dungeon aka war museum.. before it rains..
Place of Interest Review: The Battle Box is today a unique war museum, enhanced with specially crafted wax figures, animatronics, and audio-visual effects. By visiting the bunker you will be brought back in time to that morning in 1942, and will experience a unique insight into the last few hours before the historic surrender.
basically the above paragraph is a small description i copied from the brochure i received lah.. lol.. from my own opinion.. it's really amazing how well the wax figures are built and costumed.. they look so real that both say haow and me felt so eerrie abit that place.. haha..
first up, when we went in.. we are welcomed by our tour guide of the day, she guide us to join her groups of tourists.. we joined and were issued a headphone each.. the sound of narration will all come from the headphone.. so when we pass from room to room.. the guide will just need to press on the button in the room.. (following the sequences of tour).. it's really very real to see some of the figures moving.. although is automated.. but it's still TOO real to be true.. oh MAN.. i am so astonished by that..
immersing myself in the realm of history seems alittle boring after awhile.. after a 20mins tour.. we are feel free to walk around as long as we like.. it's good lah.. free and easy.. then the personnel told us.. it's raining heavy.. so asking us muz as well walk abit longer.. tell the rain got smaller.. (that's no shelter from the dungeon to the admin office up the ground).. so we toured around the mini museum of the treaty- signed.. timelines of events.. history of battle box etcs.. the air filtration and escape hatch.. say haow told me that the escape hatch last time is digged by the british soldiers then we then came in thru that hole for de first time.. it's all filled with water.. so they need to remove all the water and clear the path so that they can escape when something crops up.. there's a stairs though..
after that.. we went to the sourvenir's shops.. it's expen.. yup.. i got leave my name and comment in the GUEST BOOK.. so anyone of you who might be visiting here after 5 MAR can refer to my name there.. WOOHOO.. so honour to written my name.. like such an impt guest like that.. also the book looks so grand too mah.. lol..:)
(END)
after that we have a long conversation talked with the personnel.. he is in the age of 30's.. last time is a chef.. he manages the battle box for over 5 yrs already.. wow.. it's like you treat that like your house liao.. spend some much time and effort on that.. really so respect him.. he told us to study hard enough so that when we go out to find jobs when upon graduation.. we can get a decent job.. then he encourage sayhaow becoz of his poor last sem results.. we chatted for like 1 hr.. while resting in their airconditioner- admin office till the rain stopped..
it's really sad to leave him.. but we really need to go off.. it's somehow getting late.. but still.. we go off and went to Funan digitalife mall at city hall by train.. to window shop before i recommend him a nice food court which offers very yum yum and affordable food.. but dun worry.. there will be no food review this time round.. i only ate vege rice.. lol.. 3 veges and rice..:(.. next time.. i will eat some good food in that food court and even capture some shots for your to see.. :)..
we go off around 7 to leave separately after shopping in Penisular Plaza for their shoes.. ANY 1 OUT THERE WANT TO ACCOMPANY ME BACK TO THERE TO REAL SERIOUS SHOP?.. i that day not intend to buy anything mah.. next mth before sch starts i will try to go back to take a serious look at these clothes shops..:)

All the happenings in March ' 08 (week 2) part A
we arrived the school around 6 for the Orientation Leadership Training Camp(OLTC) Briefing by IITSC (informatics and information technology study club).. with zy of course (meet him in our 2nd transfer bus).. then i finally found costllan after that.. yup.. then saw hari.. endup sitting with costllan but inbetween is hari.. i seldom sit like that.. at first it's abit odd.. but afterward.. it's hari who got bullied by us..lolz.. after that the briefing started.. bad news.. our OLTC has been pushed back to end of march due to some disagreement with the upper management over IITSC prosposal of the training camp.. hai.. hope this will be resolved asap!!
after that.. we waited to sign our attendance before we went off.. as we were waiting.. hari is the one who got bullied.. lolz.. bullied by all guys.. zy joined in later.. but kana beat back by hari..lolz.. with all those funny pranks and playful childish acts.. we finally waited our turns to sign our attendance.. meiwei helped us signed and we are off to go.. spending time with them are really really awesome.. dunno why.. that 1 hour plus.. i am really truthfully wholeheartedly happy.. it has been awhile since i am THAT happy already.. i really cherish the moments.. as we were about to go off.. it started to rain.. oh.. heavily.. we take a detour.. but end up walked longer that we could.. we were laughing and beating one another around the concourse of the plaza.. playing pranks as and when we could.. making fun of each other.. lolz.. (it's really very touching to reflash these memory now.. as i am typing now.. i am really about to tears.. okok.. switch topics..).. as we took diffn buses home.. i end up travelling home alone but i am not alone.. cause.. i brought all those memory and my long-missing smile back home on that night:)
4/3 tue: this week happens to be my aunt mary's leave period.. so she nudged me to go try great food together today.. we end up in wisma atrium FOOD REPUBLIC to try their traditional local food..
F00D Review: Food Republic has lots of varieties of food from dim sum to famous prawn noodles.. satay.. chicken wings.. all sorts of food that will bring you back childhood memories.. that's the "ice stall" (bin dian) that sell lots of old 60's 70's desserts and the whole food court.. isn't a food court.. is really like neighbourhood stalls that you see during the older days.. we tried the fried prawn hokkien mee although all stalls have write up and good food reviews.. we just can't finish eating every single stalls.. then we ordered some chicken wings and popiah.. that popiah was so-so.. chicken wings is above average.. ah.. forget the prawn mee.. it's really wonderful.. the mee is served really hot.. dished out with steam.. u can barely smell the aroma of the finishing product while the chef is cooking infront of you.. YESH.. he cook infront of you while there's a platform and a plastic shield in between.. haha.. (END)
later we ordered "fortunate resturant dim sum".. which i guess is affordable and yet taste above average.. for 1 "long" (1 wooden container) you have 3 pieces of the dim sum.. each long is 4 dollars only.. WAY CHEAPER than those resturants you ate.. but the quality is the same.. sometimes even better cause of the freshness of the dim sum.. food courts serves a more turnover crowds.. in this way.. the food from the stalls will be consumed faster than restaurant.. in this way.. the stalls can make more fresh dim sum.. and so.. it taste better :)..
later we meet the bus stop outside Le Meridien hotel cause my aunt need to settle some office stuff.. i took that time to tour around the hotel.. it's quite ulu.. with all the closed pubs and karoake for adults.. there are some florists, jap food restuarants and shoes shops around bah.. i have captured some photos.. i see whether my phone can support this first.. there will be more elarboration once the photos are up..
meanwhile i finally met aunt and we took a bus to People's Park Complex to try its dessert.. my aunt said that's a write up on that.. that bus travelled from the hotel to plaza sing.. to the central at clarke quay.. and next is our stop.. 5-6 bus stops and we have moved from town to chinatown.. isn't how connected Singapore can be?..
Connection AND its Closeness: it really amazed me how clarke quay is so close to orchard and chinatown.. looking back.. if i haven't taken that bus.. i won't even noe that.. sometimes.. we overlooked these things as we were too busy to bothered this minor trival matters.. but thinking ahead.. both me and my aunt were totally amazed at how connected this place can be.. (later i will telling you about the connected of chinatown and CBD area.. :) (END)
we alighted and try our means to locate the dessert stall.. and as we detoured.. we senses the fragrance of PANDAN LEAVES.. and when we walked in the corridor.. it's the stall.. oh man.. it's like.. the stall is 7 shops away and yet by the fragrance of the PANDAN leaves.. we can locate the stall.. isn't the stall powderful!!
F00D Review: there are several desserts to offer.. both hot and cold and the range of prices.. NOT expensive.. the serving is rather big though.. we ordered 1 mix hei zhi ma xin ren hu, 1 mix oh-ni with oh-zhou and 1 barley with gigoku nuts.. the service is excellant.. what we need to do is to pick our choices of dessert and the waiteress will juz collect the money direct from us and serve us the dessert later.. we no need to walk a single step.. juz sit and chit-chat while waiting for the dessert to be served.. lovely.. okay.. now is the individual food review time.. opps.. here i come..
- mix hei zhi ma xin ren hu, it's really odd to mix this 2 hot dessert together lah.. but the cook did an excellant job.. the paste (liquid) mouthful by mouthful.. entered into your mouth.. touched by your tongue and travelled down to your throat.. oHHH!!.. it's so sensational.. it's really so smooth and tasty.. and it's not TOO sweet at all.. even my aunt who can't take sweet stuff.. eat it so deliciously.. that's the amazing part..
- mix oh-ni and oh-zhou.. it's rather even unique to mix these 2 together too.. but i can tell you the oh-ni is so smooth untill it melts in your mouth and to your throat.. it's really can fight with the best choco that you have ever tasted..
- barley with gigoku nuts.. it's another NOT so sweet dessert that.. the gigoku nuts' skins are so well-peel off that.. it's so perfectly cooked.. inside the nuts that's no any bitterness.. all the inner bitterness are remove.. PERFECT.. :) (END)
after eating dessert.. one of my aunt's collegue smsed aunt that there's a nice bakery shop around chinatown that served GREAT pastries especially bo luo bao.. we end up walked the entire outram park and stretched to chinatown but still can't find the shop.. sillyly her collegue didn't provide us with the shop name and the location.. she only give us a rough idea of some of the landmarks there like the indian temple and the chinese tooth temple.. hmm..
we give up after over 30mins of finding.. we decide to have some coffee to end this journey off.. but the nearest nicest coffee is at Far East Square.. way behind China Square.. as we were 2 streets off China Square.. my aunt started gumbling lah.. haha.. i cheered her up and say.. "we are going to reach.. soon.. "..haha.. after 15 mins and we are at...
F00D Review: YA-KUN@.@.. woohoo.. they serve really nice black coffee.. OH.. i love black coffee.. traditional one.. the aroma will really blow you up and make you feel totally comfortable and in some cases when u were tired.. this really will wake you up.. OH.. love love love!!.. my aunt also order some kaya toast lah.. it's still has the standard although i am now cutting on TOO sweet stuff.. but it's above average overall.. but really nice coffee though to wash everything down..however 1 thing to complain.. it's the one of the staff.. his service are really very rude and sometimes annoying.. i guess is his character lah.. old man's character?.. but not old man is like that mah.. clear plates while the bread crumbs fall on my aunt's head.. serve food with the plates knocking loudly on the table.. not only our table.. one customer is busy attending a call and yet he is beside waiting for him impatiently and ask him what he wants.. the customer can't take it but to pause the conversation and told him wat they want.. isn't it a bit rude.. i mean .. CAN'T HE WAITS!! (END)
okay.. enough of complaining.. back to my trip to town.. as i am on my way to find any bus to travel home.. i discover that..
Connection AND its Closeness: Far East Square is just few minutes away from Central Business District area.. CBD.. then as i walked over to see any other buses.. i saw Lao Pa Sha opposite me.. wow.. then later is all those TALL TALL building that i will be working next time.. these places are really so closed to one another.. some times when you travelled to one place.. u didn't really know what are some neighbourhood areas around there.. now i finally got them right? CHEERS! (END)
